Music opportunities

San Marino Community Church has a long tradition of musical excellence that sets our congregation apart. We believe that this spiritual act of worship is an expression of our gratitude to God for His good gifts. We offer a number of opportunities for the community to participate in this ministry.   • rehearsals for the christmas concert begin october 6

    in the choir room | 7:00-8:30 p.m.

    Believe it or not, It's almost time for the most wonderful time of the year! Our annual Christmas concert will take place on Sunday, December 4 in the Sanctuary at 4:00 P.M. This year's concert will features Handel's Messiah as well as some Christmas Carols. Dr. Peter Green will begin leading rehearsals for the concert on Wednesday, October 6 in the Choir room at SMCC from 7:00-8:30 P.M. 


    All are welcome to join! No auditions or experience needed! We hope to see you there. 

  • Chancel Choir

    SMCC's Chancel Choir provides vocal leadership for the 9:00 A.M. Traditional Worship.  Rehearsals on Thursdays at 7:30 P.M..  Anyone is welcome to join!  There are no auditions necessary. Full vaccination is required. “Singers masks” will be provided. Directed by Dr. Peter Green and accompanied by Organist/Pianist Lisa Edwards.  Contact Dr. Peter Green, Music Director for details.

  • Audition for the Ensemble

    The Ensemble is made up of nine vocalists who provide musical leadership during Traditional worship, directed by Dr. Peter Green and accompanied by Organist/Pianist Lisa Edwards. To audition, contact Dr. Peter Green, Music Director for details. 

  • Join the Virginia Road Band

    Rehearsals: Thursdays  |  6:00 - 7:30 p.m.  |  fellowship Hall

    Virginia Road is SMCC's Contemporary Worship Band, playing Sundays at 10:00 A.M.. This band leads the contemporary service in worship each Sunday with a mixture of modern worship songs and hymns for today.  It is the mission of Virginia Road to collaborate and incorporate new and aspiring artists. If you are a musician, we would love to have the opportunity to jam with you.  Contact Willow Stephens, Worship Leader for details.
