the abc's of christmas!

2:00 p.m. Fellowship hall

Join us for “The Christmas ABC’s!” Formatted for young children and their families, Willow Stephens and members of the Virginia Road band will lead in joyful carols throughout this interactive service. Bring your favorite schoolyard instrument and be prepared to have fun while we tell the story of Jesus’ birth in a fun (and slightly noisy!) tradition!  And Visit the Live Nativity Animals in the Courtyard!

Kids 3rd to 6th graders are invited to participate with leading (speaking) parts in this year’s Nativity Pageant! Please contact NMacmillan@smccpby.com by December 6. Second grade and younger are welcome to participate as angels and shepherds. Participants come early (by 3:40 P.M.), to pick out a costume.

We gather in Fellowship Hall for carols led by The Virginia Road Band as we light the Christ Candle, conclude the Jesse Tree, and sing Silent Night by candlelight. Rev. Jessica Vaughan Lower preaches. Livestreamed and recorded for later viewing.

8:00 P.M. & 10:00 P.M. Sanctuary

Enjoy music led by Dr. Peter Green as the choir leads in Traditional Christmas Carols at 8:00 P.M. and the Ensemble leads at 10:00 P.M. We will light the Christ candle and conclude in singing by candlelight as we look forward to greeting Christmas Day. Rev. Jessica Vaughan Lower preaches. The 8:00 P.M. service will be livestreamed and recorded for later viewing.
