deacon ministries

The Holy Spirit is at work among the Deacon Board!  We have been dreaming about how God has called us to care for one another and for our neighbors. We have been dreaming about ways to equip you to be a vital part of a caring church. And we have been imagining how deeper, caring connections with all people in our congregation and beyond can transform a community and enrich the quality of our life together. The Deacon Board coordinates and manages our ministries, but the teams are made up of people from our congregation, people like you!   Get ready and pray for God’s guidance and wisdom to lead you towards a team that fires your passion and resonates with your gifts.

  • The deacons' assistance fund

The Deacons’ Assistance Fund aids those in our community who have sudden unexpected needs. 100% of every contribution goes directly towards assisting neighbors experiencing temporary financial needs such as rent, groceries, medical bills, counseling, and other challenges. Your donation to this mercy ministry is always welcome!

In addition SMCC holds an annual Service of Remembrance in November and an occasional grief workshop.    Contact Bong Bringas
