2022 foundation legacy campaign

On April 24, the Foundation of San Marino Community Church will launch its 2022 Legacy Campaign. This is a time for the church to give generously toward important initiatives that ensure SMCC will be a place of community and belonging for generations to come.

Our theme this year, "Looking In, Reaching Out," was chosen because we believe  our investments for the future are most powerful when they enable to us to reach our community in tangible ways. As we plan for the future, we have identified three funds that work powerfully together in this way:

  • The Facilities/Campus Care Fund: Maintaining our church building and grounds protects one of our greatest assets so that all may continue to gather here.
  • Strategic Initiatives Fund: This fund allows the church to respond quickly to various needs which arise year to year. The church's music programs have long been a draw within the community. This year, our program is specifically requesting a new grand piano: a key factor to ensuring that sacred worship continues to inspire and bless the congregation and community.
  • Mission Grants Fund: Each year, the Foundation gives upwards of $60,000 to non-profits in the San Gabriel Valley, providing essential goods and services to those in need.

As an expression of our gratitude, all who contribute to this year's Campaign will receive an invitation to "Great is Thy Faithfulness," a special concert featuring Dr. Peter Green & Lisa Edwards on the NEW GRAND PIANO on Sunday, May 15 in the Sanctuary, followed by hors d'oeuvres in the Courtyard. Cornerstone Society members are also be invited. We hope that you will prayerfully consider contributing to these important funds that serve our congregation and enable us to reach the community for the future!
