  • VBS: sTellar 2023 | Registration is now open!

    Prepare for blast off! Monday, July 31 – Thursday, August 3 for Stellar VBS! Incoming 1st through 5th graders are invited to shine a light on Jesus’ love! Launch kids on a cosmic quest where they’ll have a blast shining Jesus’ light to the world. Stellar VBS rockets kids on an out-of-this-world adventure that’s light years of faith-building fun.

  • american girls & tree climbers will feature a collaboration with the scouts of america p.r.a.y program | beginning wednesday, february 1

    Our Mid-Week programming for the Spring or 2023 will be kicking off next month! American Girls and Tree Climbers will be returning on February 1. This after-school programming offers a unique small group experience for students in grades 1st-5th with time to connect in faith, fellowship and fun! 


    Wednesdays at the SMCC Campus (see dates below) from 3:30 P.M. - 4:45 P.M.:

    • March 29
    • April 26
    • May 10
    Children are welcome to arrive as early as 2:30 P.M. to decompress and socialize before the program officially begins at 3:30 P.M.

    Parents of Boy & Girl Scouts! This year's semester will feature a special opportunity for children involved with the Boy Scouts/Cubs of America, Girl Scouts, and the American Heritage Scouts in grades 2-5. San Marino Community Church will be partnering with P.R.A.Y a mentorship based religious emblems program. Participating children will work with our staff and their parents on a semester-long project culminating in a special service during worship on Sunday, May 21, 2023 where they will be honored and presented with a Faith Badge.

  • new midweek programming: Music & Improv Workshop

    Music and singing have long been known to improve our health and our mood. Additionally, studies have also shown that doing just 20 minutes of improv a day can increase creativity, well-being and our ability to tolerate uncertainty.  This 4-part workshop is open to children in grades 2-5. 


    This program will be offered on Wednesdays (alternating with AG&TC) from 3:30 P.M. - 4:45 P.M. Students are welcome to come as early as 2:30 P.M. after-school to socialize and decompress.

    Mrs. Natalie would love to connect with your child (3rd-5th grader) for some fro-yo and one-on-one time! I will coordinate a date with parents in advance and send text updates throughout my hour or so with your child. If Fridays aren’t possible for you, let’s see what other weekday might work!   • children's spiritual formation

    sundays during worship  |  9:00 a.m. & 10:00 a.m.

    Children's Spiritual Formation is an interactive, engaging during Sunday worship. It's at the heart of our ministry. To register please fill out a 2022-2023 Participation Form. (Note: If you are attending for the first time, feel free to pick up a form on Sunday at the information booth.)


    Infants - Kinder: From 8:45 A.M. on, parents can check in their children at the Children’s Welcome Table and then bring them to their appropriate classroom in the Lower Courtyard. Children should be picked up from their classrooms immediately after the service.

     

    Ist – 5th grade: Parents check in their children at the Children’s Welcome Table and then proceed into worship. From worship, children will be dismissed and escorted to the upstairs classrooms.


    In Traditional: Children, 1st - 5th grades in the upstairs classrooms, will return to worship after the sermon.


    In Contemporary: After the service, children 1st-5th, in the upstairs classrooms, are picked up outside by the Children’s Welcome Table to decrease enclosed space gatherings in the upstairs hallways.

     

    **All children must wear masks and wash their hands before participating in activities.**
