Mission & outreach

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  (Matthew 28:19)

San Marino Community Church's mission partners extend the congregation's reach and impact locally and world-wide. Respond with generosity in service to others. See below the many opportunities to serve throughout the year. Contact Mission & Outreach or check the Family Ministries Calendar for upcoming events.

  • A Ton of Food

Sunday, April 30 at 9:00 am

Start collecting food today, and help SMCC break last year’s record of 2 tons of non-perishable food! On Sunday, April 30, bring your bags (empty bags available in church office) of non-perishable food, such as canned goods, and pasta, to SMCC. We will deliver by truck to our mission partner, Iglesia de la Comunidad, who will distribute the food to the needy! Contact Mission & Outreach

  • MOther's day blankets

    Sundays, May 2 & 9, Courtyard

Consider giving a Mother’s Day gift that gives twice this year: a blanket that will assist a person in need from natural disaster, war, or famine. A gift of $5 (per blanket) will be acknowledged with a gift card and the funds collected will be spent in local areas to purchase blankets – supporting local economies. See the table in the courtyard during Fellowship Time or stop by the church office during the week. (Plan also to give “Tools of Hope” for $5 in honor of Father’s Day in June.)

  • Global Mission Trips - transforming journeys

SMCC has a long history of sending members and staff to represent the church in mission around the world. A 2015 group traveled to mission partners in Malawi, Africa. Why are trips important?

    • To strengthen relationships with mission partners
    • To learn in a way only immersion teaches
    • To deepen participants’ faith with a transformative experience
    • To witness God’s work in a different culture and a different language
