SUnday morning,  JUne 24, 11:00 am, Fellowship Hall

Mr. Rogers, who was known for interacting with his created neighborhood preached (yes I mean preach, he was an ordained Presbyterian minister after all) kindness, family connection, and trying to tap into our better self. His legacy didn’t end but continues. Join in on our panel discussion as we linger on some themes from the TV show but also go beyond in reframing television’s influence on society, children’s television, as well as the importance of the church using the medium of television and movies to interact between theology and culture and even dive into the dynamic dialogue about screen time. Led by experts in the fields of television, theology, the development of children.

Also on Sunday Morning, Children’s Programming will be showing and discussing the current hit animated show Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, a spinoff of Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood, based on the first puppet Mr. Rogers introduced.
