Join us for an evening of key topics, activities and resources which can help you gain valuable tools for:

    • managing stress
    • navigating friendships and relationships
    • being your authentic self
    • exploring your passions
    • maintaining health and wellness

    COLLEGE GRIT workshop is open to BOTH GIRLS & BOYS

    who are headed for college or already attending college. Presented by Monica Valdivia-Aguilar, MA, LMFT, and Grace Goodman, PsyD, Clinical Psychologist.

  • fuel your faith fridays! February 23 - March 30

    COffee & WOrship, 8:30 am - 9:00 am, Christ chapel

    Thank God it’s Friday! During Lent, fuel your faith with worship and coffee on Fridays, February 23, March 2, 9,16, 23 and 30.   • tuesday bible study: Luke Begins February 6

    10:00 am, Church lounge, or 6:00 pm, Fellowship hall

    You're invited to explore scripture with us as we begin a new study on the Gospel of Luke. A gentile, Luke wrote about 30% of the New Testament with Luke and Acts. All the other New Testament authors were Jewish. One of the questions we want to answer in our study is: How does Luke's Gospel affect our living today?

  • Malawi Transformational journey: july 16-august 2

    Applications Due by FEBRUARY 28 - EXTENDED DEADLINE

    SMCC has a long history of sending members and staff to represent the church in mission around the world. A 2015 group traveled to mission partners in Malawi, Africa. Why are trips important?   

    • To strengthen relationships with mission partners
    • To learn in a way only immersion teaches
    • To deepen participants’ faith with a transformative experience
    • To witness God’s work in a different culture and a different language.

  • New Member/Inquirer's Class

    Saturday, March 10, 8:30 am - Noon

    Thinking of joining San Marino Community Church? Or just wanting to learn more? You are welcome to attend this orientation class for those exploring Christian faith and church membership. Topics include Christian basics, Presbyterian tenets, and information about how to become involved and connected at SMCC. This is a great opportunity to become acquainted with Pastor Jeff O'Grady, other Senior Associate Pastor Jan Cook, as well as other leaders of the church. Average class size is about 10. We can provide childcare upon request. Those who attend the class and intend to join the church return the following week, Sunday, March 18 to be affirmed and introduced at the 9:00 am Traditional Worship service. To attend the next class please register by printing and filling out the New Member Form and returning it to the church office or fill out a New Member Form ON-LINE no later than March 5, 2018.
